A few weeks ago I met up with some new girlfriends at The Grand on Main in Columbia, SC.
Here are a few things I learned:

First about the place…
The Grand opens for at 9AM on Saturday and Sunday. You can make a reservation or pop right in. The menu is diverse and this place is totally kid friendly. What a dream for parents who love to brunch but thought they had to give it up because all the hipster brunching spots are too crowded for the short attention span of #hangry toddlers. And yes, full bar, dreams really do come true.

Morning, noon or night the Grand has something for everyone: boutique bowling (click here for hours & cost), classic games like Jenga and checkers, an outdoor plaza and a tap room where beer lovers can refill at their leisure. Plus a top notch full service menu with something for everyone.

The next time I have family in town or a gathering to plan I KNOW I will be contacting the Grand to make my plans. Katie, our server, was so kind to us. She knew so much about the history of the building and, when it came to all of our special order needs, she went far above expectations. Make a reservation here.

Now about the people…
I recently joined a group of local bloggers because starting an online career via a blog or other social outlet is challenging. It feels like every 7 seconds someone else is doing it and at the same time you feel completely alone. It’s vulnerable and frustrating; you get a rush of success and then plummet to ultimate failure all within moments.

The Columbia South Carolina Mommy Blogger Tribe is full of unique individuals with a range of passions and mission for supporting their targeted audience. Surrounding yourself with people that are similar and different at the same time makes this journey a little less struggle and a lot more fun.
Whatever your current facet of life may be, from stay at home mom to attorney at law, surround yourself with a community that can lean in with you through all of life’s predicaments.

Thanks you Maddy Eccles for taking some of these fab photos!
The one thing that every individual has in common in this world is that we all desire fulfilling relationships.
Live well friends,
Christy
P.S. Let me know if you make it to The Grand – maybe we can meet for brunch and some laughs!
