Let’s get one thing straight… kale will never be chips. With that said, when roasted up in the oven, kale is delicious and I “Betcha Can’t eat just one”!

Crispy Kale:
1 bunch of kale
Rinse and dry

Tear the kale off the stem, into bite size pieces and toss on baking pan. it is important to remove the stem. which is why you cannot use the pre-packaged bags of kale pieces
Add 1/4 cup of avocado oil (best for high heat but olive oil works too) and massage kale so it’s well coated and slightly absorbed in to the pieces

Sprinkle kale with 1/2 teaspoon of pink or sea salt and use hands to evenly coat kale with salt
MAKE SURE PAN IS NOT OVER CROWDED AND KALE IS IN A SINGLE LAYER

Bake in oven on hi broil setting for 5 minutes
use spatula to Shuffle kale around a bit and then back in the oven for 3-4 minutes
Watch closely, can easily go from perfectly crispy to perfectly burnt, exact time will depend on the oven
kale will stay crispy if left out uncovered so you can make in advance if you want

Make sure to eat Crispy Kale alone or with people you trust because you will have it stuck in your teeth. A minor side-effect for such a delicious side-dish, appetizer or snack that’s packed with powerful nutrition.
Live well friends,
Christy
