Most people look at recipes and within a few seconds decide if they will try them based off the ingredient list. I can promise you that if any of these ingredients look unfamiliar to you, they will quickly become a family favorite in your household like they have ours.

1/4 cup of coconut sugar
1/4 cup of water

2 teaspoon chopped/minced garlic

Juice from 1 lime
Mix ingredients together
Keeps well in fridge for 5 day in air tight container
Can easily double recipe if needed

You can use this marinade in many ways. Make it in advance and have on hand to make meal times quick and easy. If some of these ingredients are new to you, I try to use the same ingredients in my other recipes as well. Like this Veggie Fried Rice or this Asian Style Veggie Soup or even this Not Ranch Dip. Coconut sugar is a great sugar alternative that can be used to replace (in equal parts) regular cane sugar, most grocery stores are now carrying their own versions. Try it in your coffee or baked goods.

There are probably endless ways to use this marinade like over your meat of choice in a slow cooker or stove top. Use it to sauté veggies and toss in noodles. One of our family favorite recipes is this Instapot Chicken Teriyaki and Noodles
I am a propionate of using short cuts when needed and often buy the frozen minced garlic and ginger from Trader Joes. While fresh is best and there will be a few added ingredients in these varieties most grocery stores will carry some form of short cut when it comes to garlic and ginger. I would not recommend using garlic/ginger powder in this recipe.

I hope you enjoy this simple yet healthy marindae as much as we do!
Live well friends,
Christy
